Tom, Oh Tom Where are you?

Oh my goodness, I cannot forget to tell you  a story about our walk back from Jamanitas the day we all went to see the beautiful art work on the walls and in the artist yard.  Tom had ridden his bike so he was ahead of us a bit. Suddenly he was out of site! Everyone in the group asked me where he went, as if I would know. As we passed a house that had lively Cuban music playing from the yard and people sitting around we hear a Hey Guys! Turning to look we find Tom. Sitting at a table on the porch playing dominos! Everyone in the group was shocked. That is everyone except me. We were greeted and encouraged to come in the yard. It wasn't long before we were all dancing and Tom and Kathy now both playing dominos. We visited for about two hours, using simple English and at times sign language to communicate. One of the gentlemen, Wilbert,  did speak English so he did a lot of interpreting for us all.  After a case of beer, lots of laughs and dancing and some very interesting home made soup we were again on our way back to the boat. Tom was the hero of the day, we laughed and talked about the afternoon well into the evening. As it turned out it would not be the last time we spoke with Wilbert or visited a local family.

The gentlemen in the blue shirt is Wilbert whom we met up with later at his home. He has duel citizenship and actually served in the United States Army.
