After a wonderful holiday week with family we tied our dinghy, securely I might add, to the top of the jeep, hooked the jeep to the RV and headed South. We also decided to keep the RV rear television on so we could monitor the goings on behind us! Two days later we pulled into the marina. Laughter had already been moved from the storage yard to the work yard in anticipation of our arrival. She had sat in the storage yard for more than seven months so we were a little nervous about what we were going to find. You always hope for the best, well not so much this time. It was a hot, wet summer in Jacksonville and it took its toll. Everything had to be scrubbed, washed and sprayed. After assessing the mounds of work ahead of us we settled in to the RV for the evening. We woke to the sound of sanders and grinders soon after first light. After setting up a ladder, hooking up electricity, and spreading out tools and such, we were on work duty.
How we got off and on the boat. Not the easiest way to load and unload! Thank goodness Peanut didn't have to be hauled up and down on a rope. She was able to chill in the RV.
Our new dinghy with a few extra dents from falling off in Michigan!
We were able to park the RV a boat away from ours so Tom set up shop and his break chair. Haha
