Assume the Boaters Position

January 7, 2016

It was a cold and rainy day, and I spent most of it on the flat of my back. NOT what your thinkin! I was on my back scrubbing the ceiling in the forward berth!!   Tom worked in the engine room, aft deck, etc. Fixing, fixing, fixing. By the way he is not a quiet worker. The moans and groans fill the air from that dungeon we call an engine room. Why is it that most jobs that have to be done on a boat require you to be in an unnatural position? Squeezed in on your side between engines, reaching up to paint or sand until your arms scream STOP, or leaning over to the point that the blood rushes to your head. Labor of love, right?  All worth it when your sitting on the deck anchored in a little cove fishing and watching the sun go down!
Peanut making herself at home on the mattress cover on the way home from the laundromat! Have you been to one lately? Now that's a people watching experience!!
